Some more Jen Wilson love

I have been a scrapping fiend thanks to some fabulous challenges from Jen Wilson. The best part is that I haven’t had to buy too much of her stuff to complete the challenges. She has some great Sock Monster finds on sale for just 75c and it has filled out my Jen Wilson stash quite nicely.

This was something fun for Jen’s chat challenge. The task was to “dress” yourself in the new Laundry line products. Something I learned… I have no patience (or ability) to do extractions. But you get the idea right? 🙂

And here are my final four (yes, four!) LOs for the challenges. That makes nine total and I actually like each and every LO. That almost never happens.

This challenge was to go to the extreme. My extreme was minimalism and lots of white space.

The challenge here – to do create something using a new technique or design. I was definitley indulging my girly side with this one. Don’t have a chance to do that very often.

This challenge – use at least 8 of your favourite type of scrap product. I went for ribbons and trim.

This one was a focus on photos challenge. I took each of these pics for my 365 challenge.

Phew – I have been busy. The funny thing is that none of these LOs felt like a chore. I actually really enjoyed the prompts and have been feeling very creative.

Do have to get back to some CT LOs this weekend though. Lauren has a brand new boy kit coming soon (and I mean BOY!) and Tara has some great new stuff that I need to play with too.

Have a great weekend.

Diet? Let’s hope not.

Ugh – just returned from a nasty lab test where they make you drink a horrible glucose drink and draw your blood four times over three hours. I had to do this test when I was pregnant with Thomas as well and thankfully the results were good. I hope I have the same outcome this time as te alternative means a restrictive diet for the remainder of my pregnancy.

Anyone who knows me is aware of just how hard that would be for me to stick to a diet. I think giving up chocolate could very well push me to the edge of insnaity. Since I have had to give up wine and sushi, it is the only food crutch I have left.

The good news is that last night Kei and I realized that we only have 10 weeks to go. 10 weeks! Can you believe it? I can’t wait to meet this little guy who has been so active in my belly. Last night I think he actually had a big stretch in there. No matter how many babies I end up having (three would probably be the max) it will always be a surreal experience to have a living being inside me. INSIDE me! So weird.

Scrap News

I have been feeling so inspired to scrap lately. I’m sure my new Jen Wilson goodies have something to do with it and did I mention the fabulous challenges she is running on her site? Here’s the latest.

My “All About Me” page. Hey, at least I’m honest… Click on image for credits and to read journaling.

This one’s a scraplift. Thank goodness because it is so much quicker for me to lift than come up with a design on my own and the deadline is tonight.

You may notice that I have been using a lot of my photos of the day for my scrap pages. This little project has definitely provided me with a lot of scrapping inspiration which I love.

Until next time

Exhausted

I am crazy busy at work right now and am about to hit my 3rd trimester. The result is total exhaustion. Not the sort of exhaustion that means I will have a long deep sleep. Oh no, that’s impossible with an aching back and legs that won’t move into a comfortable position. It’s the type of exhaustion that means my body aches and my mind wants to shut down. Just three more months (!).

Thankfully I was able to find some mojo on the weekend and actually do some scrapping. I used photos from my 365 project in these pages. Actually the 365 project is a great scrapping tool. I find I already have the images and the stories available and then when I have a chance I already have part of my LO started. These 365 photos are more than just photos to me – they tell our day to day story.

Now onto the LOs.

This one uses some of Lauren’s free wordart and some other goodies from Jen Wilson.

This one shows off  my belly from a fun angle. I am trying to find unique ways to photograph myself during this time. I wasn’t scrapping when I was pregnant with Thomas and didn’t take a lot of photos. So much for the second one being neglected in the photo department.

New Favourite

OK – this is officially my new favourite layout. I tried adding more and more to it but it just didn’t seem to work. I think the expression, the wordart and of course the hat, tell the story. Click on image for credits.

Baby Love

I have been creating quite few LOs featuring child yet to be named (Peanut) lately. This is a new thing for me because I didn’t actually start digi scrapping until Thomas was about six months old. It is so nice to be able to document this time in my life and, with Thomas around, I can scrap more than just belly pics.I created this LO for the Hump Day lift challenge on the Lauren Reid CT blog. There’s still plenty of time to enter for a chance to win a GC to Lauren’s store and such a great LO for inspiration this week.

I always struggle with ultrasound LOs but I think this one turned out nicely. Click on image for full credits and journaling.

This is one of my P365 pics. I am so glad I captured this moment because Thomas loves giving his baby brother hugs and kisses. I LOVE the color of this background paper from Tara’s new Love Muffin Kit. There are so many different colors of red and I struggle to find the right one, but this one is perfect! Look for loads more pages using this color. 🙂 And how many times have I used that alpha by Dani Mogstad now? I’m just saying….

So that’s about it for today. My P365 pic from yesterday is still in my camera so will have to wait. Oh, and tonight is date night. Thomas’ daycare extends hours every once in a while on a Friday night so we have until 10:30! I think we’re going to see Juno and have a full dinner at a nice restaurant without having to manage a toddler. Can’t wait!Back soon

…and I’ve been scrapping

I have actually been feeling pretty creative. Not sure if it’s all the photos I have been taking or the fact that this baby has stopped sucking my mojo. Here are a couple with some Lauren Goodies and fonts from Darci Baldwin. Don’t think I ever mentioned that I am guesting on her CT this month. It’s so much fun being on a font CT and Darci’s fonts are fabulous.

Speaking of baby, I have been feeling him move around quite a bit lately. I have that feeling of butterflies in my stomach while I am relaxing watching TV or sitting at my desk at work. It’s a nice feeling and makes me feel a little more connected to this baby. It’s easy to forget I am pregnant with all the craziness of work and running after a toddler the rest of the time.
Don’t think I’ll ever get over the weirdness of having a live human being inside my body. Seriously – think about how strange that is.
Thanks for dropping by
